Steel Yard projects

I was pretty psyched to have a few weeks at the Steel Yard this summer, but I'm feeling a little disappointed with what I walked away with. I didn't plan enough ahead and overestimated how quickly I'd pick it back up after 5 years away.

Napkin holder, with beads and pinchpots
small ceramic chips, now magnets

AND I realized I left a half-finished greenware planter behind.
Terrific.

model magic fox

Owl57 After School clay class at HAFTR came to a close last week and as a treat we played with model magic. I made a little guy with what they left over.

serious weight

Made with ceramic beads I carved and fired, bolt washers, hex nuts, and very big very heavy black carved bone.

ceramics, etc

This is a bead carved from clay, glazed and fired. It's supposed to look like a particular kitty I know,

...it was made as a gift, here is the box ^_^

love dove

My friend Cindy has been spending her summer at a sleep-away camp in New Hampshire and probably reaalllly misses her birds, so I made one for her to hang in her cabin until she comes home!

tri-pawd, again.

Yeah I've been a little obsessed with my dog lately but whatever, I like how this came out and I wanted to share. By the way the head moves on a pivot.
