Teacher pride!

I'm working on six or seven different drawings and paintings right now, so finishing any of them is a slow process. I have been teaching art classes at Owl57's AfterSchool Program for the new semester and I wanted to post a few of my favorite paintings and works-in-progress. They range in ages 6yrs to 9yrs.

"Robin's Nest"

"Central Park in Winter" I am assisting artist Jeff Webb, who instructs this particular class. He's a really interesting, great great guy.

These city drawings are an homage to a painting by Edward Sokol titled "Inside the City and Out" which is hanging in our fine art gallery. These are not finished yet obviously, but I think the drawings are just too cute!

I got jealous when I saw how much fun they were having so I made one of my own afterwards :)

another biiig drawing!

I hope I get this into painting form soon enough. This drawing took a week, its about 25"x25"

fan art :-]

My dog Christie must be more inspiring than I thought, cuz check out the origami my bestie Sabrina invented for me!

Thank you, Sabrina!!

love dove

My friend Cindy has been spending her summer at a sleep-away camp in New Hampshire and probably reaalllly misses her birds, so I made one for her to hang in her cabin until she comes home!

tri-pawd, again.

Yeah I've been a little obsessed with my dog lately but whatever, I like how this came out and I wanted to share. By the way the head moves on a pivot.

what's up, lumpy?

This is the first thing I finished paintings since graduation practically. My poor pooch. I hate backgrounds lately. Also, the bandage pattern is neon green gouache, and we all know how it goes through the scanner...

these two look so cool by accident I may not want to give them away

I made a book cover design a little while back. I had the same issue with the scanner and neon gouache, the toe nails are supposed to be a bright glowing pink. arg... worthless paint.

another work in progress...

I'm not really done with this, but I am done for now. I was thinking of putting a pattern on the fur.

**BTW** My blog now magically has a comment button! I haven't touched the settings in months but it fixed it self somehow and I'm thrilled so leave opinions please!!

new card!!

iiiiii made a bunch of new cards yesterday cuz I knew I was going to SOI for the Nate Williams lecture. I didn't have time to get a picture of all of them, and I gave all of them away ...but this one. They we all handmade and unique like the old ones but, like, new.

Portfolio 30 FINALLY out!!

Yay for everyone who's in it! I thought my page looked a little yellow compared to the original, but everyones looks great so maybe it's all just in my head.
And good luck to anyone who submitting to SOI too! I gave my submissions in today...
