i've been scared of color
I wanted to put spots of color in here but I chickened out. I'm scared i'll screw it up so I scanned it now just in case. Then I realized it didn't matter if I colored it because I did it on the wrong paper. It was a spontaneous drawing that accidentally became involved. Maybe I'll do it again on better paper, but I really hate doing things over.

Now I know for sure my scanner is shit city. The shirt in this drawing was painted with neon gouache. I know it doesn't scan well in general, but I've had more success with other scanners getting closer to true color in the past. Anyway I was jotting down some opinions I had about art and how important the hand of the artist is to me when I drew this.
With these two (for my sister and Sabrina), I might want to go back and actually paint something on the beads:
This is an earring I invented for myself, I have large (but quickly shrinking) hole in each of my lobes from when I used to stretch them out for plugs. I used feathers, wood beads, and colored string. It ties into a bow around my lobe:
Hey, has anyone heard anything about Portfolio 30???

postcards
O.K. so I didnt actually get around to sending a single postcard to ANYONE during my trip to Colorado and Seattle. I did work in my diary a whole bunch, but I spent more time in flea markets picking up handfuls of antique postcards from all over the world. I messed around with them and will start mailing them out this week.
This one is for Shane in Ireland-

this second one was actually a coaster I got from a bar in Boulder.
If anyone ANYONE would like to be on my mailing list, shoot me your name+address to: missykaempf@gmail.com ,I might be mailing these for a while. I am running out of vintage postcards though.....

Lost all interest in illustration, but not many other ideas outside sculpture and installation. Sabrina gave me a few odd items she found and I decided to do something with them. This army tool wrap is now a trailer :) with beads glued on. I know what I want to do with the pair of chemical protective gloves she gave me but haven't finished it yet.
